Public Art Walkabout Returns

Free walking tour meets in front of the Crocker at noon

January 28, 2010 – Sacramento, Calif. – People working in the Downtown Sacramento area are invited to take a detour from their usual lunch break. From March through June, the Crocker Art Museum will host lunchtime tours of the public art on view in Downtown Sacramento. The one-hour walking tour departs from the front steps of the Museum at 12 p.m.

“Public Art Walkabout tours are a great way to exercise your mind and body while learning more about Sacramento,” said Christian Adame, manager of lifelong learning at the Crocker Art Museum. The program was piloted in September 2009 before going on hiatus during winter.
