Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the concerts held?
Concerts are held in the Museum’s E. Kendell Davis courtyard. In May, concert-goers can enter through the main entrance of the Museum or the courtyard gate on Third Street between O and P Streets.

In preparation for the opening of the New Crocker, the Museum will be closed to the public during the June, July and August concerts. Please enter through the Courtyard gate for the June, July and August concerts.

What time is Third Thursday Jazz?
The concerts run from 5:30-8 PM and the courtyard is open to visitors starting at 5:15 PM.

Can I bring a lawn chair or a blanket?
Some seating is provided and space is limited, but you may bring lawn chairs and blankets. If bringing lawn chairs and blankets, please enter through the courtyard gate on Third Street.

Can I bring food and beverages?
We ask that you do not bring food or beverages to Third Thursday Jazz. Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited by the Alcoholic Beverage Control. Light refreshments, beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase at the concert.

Where should I park?
Street parking is free after 6 PM and is available around Crocker Park and on surrounding streets. A parking lot is available on Second Street and costs $3 per two hours. Parking for visitors with disabilities can be found in the parking lots and at meters located on Second Street.

Can I bring my kids?
All ages are welcome at Third Thursday Jazz. Students are $5.
