Using a professional nude model as your subject, learn simple techniques to draw the human figure, while enjoying practicing your Spanish speaking skills. View different examples of how figure drawing can be applied to portraiture and sculpture, and gain an understanding of basic anatomy and how to use charcoal and pencil to depict volume. Basic Spanish conversational ability is required and no drawing experience is necessary.

About the Instructor:
Emilio Soltero, Ph.D., is an art history and art studio professor at various colleges and universities. He has lectured internationally and is the founder of Chilam Balam, an international art journal published by University of California, Davis. He is a muralist, with works on view at UC Davis and California State University, Sacramento campuses. Soltero has authored books on drawing and sequential art.
