Guest film curator Kristen Anderson Wagner presents this Oscar-nominated film detailing the trials faced by an outspoken Iranian girl who finds her unique attitude and outlook on life repeatedly challenged during the Islamic revolution. The Crocker is proud to participate again in the UC Davis Campus Community Book Project. The 2013 selection Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, is an inspirational account of the global issues women face. Guest film curator Kristen Anderson Wagner will present a series of groundbreaking films depicting the struggles and triumphs of women from diverse cultures.
