About the Instructor:
Alicia Herrera, native of Sacramento, has worked creatively with textiles for much of her life and loves sharing her passion for fiber and all things artfully handmade in both her 3rd grade classroom and art workshops for both children and adults. She has traveled the world exploring textile traditions while collecting fabric and fibers to repurpose in her mixed-media pieces. A critical part of her creative process is knowing the personal and contextual history of all of her materials.
