Explore works on paper (drawings and prints) in the Crocker's permanent collection to complement your viewing of the exhibition Passion and Virtuosity: Hendrick Goltzius and the Art of Engraving. Curator William Breazeale will share his expertise and lead discussions of the history of 16th- and 17th-century Dutch and Flemish art, as seen through select works on paper, by artists such as Antonie van Dyck, Pieter Quast, and Rembrandt.

About the Instructor:
Curator William Breazeale received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and specializes in Old Master drawings and European art at the Crocker. In addition to organizing the Hendrick Goltzius exhibition, he recently curated the exhibitions An Opening of the Field: Jess, Robert Duncan, and Their Circle and The Epic and the Intimate: French Drawings from the John D. Reilly Collection. He is the author of A Pioneering Collection: Master Drawings from the Crocker Art Museum.
