Watch clips from Tim Burton's humorous and sometimes scary classic for inspiration, and discuss strange and unexpected elements found in art. Then design and create cool projects with "nightmarish" elements: a 3-D diorama, a mask, and a costume—just in time for Halloween and fun all year round!

About the Instructor:
Patricia Wood has a bachelor's from University of California, Davis and masters of fine arts in 1997 from the University of Arizona. Wood has exhibited her work both internationally and throughout the United States. Her art work was featured in the 1997, 2005, and 2009 anniversary issues of New American Painting. She currently works at Short Center South, a fine arts program for adults with developmental disabilities and is also an Adjunct Professor at American River College.
