The Crocker Art Museum holds a variety of special events throughout the year, including members-only events and two gala events: Crocker Ball and Art Auction. The gala events are sell-outs and raise a substantial portion of the Museum’s operating budget. The Museum Store hosts an annual Holiday Art & Craft Festival.

Members-only Receptions
Crocker members receive invitations to opening receptions of our special exhibits. You’ll be the first to see the new exhibits, have the opportunity to meet featured artists, and enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar. Be sure to read ArtLetter for upcoming dates and details.

Director’s Circle Events
Museum Members at the $1,250 level and above also receive membership in the Director’s Circle, where they are granted exclusive invitations to a series of receptions and events, such as behind-the-scenes tours with curators. Increase your membership category and become eligible for the Director’s Circle.

American Pop Reception
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 6 PM
Celebrate the American Pop exhibition at a reception exclusively for Director’s Circle members. You will be treated to a walk-through of the exhibit by Associate Curator Diana Daniels, and collector and lender Richard Weisman will sign copies of his book, Picasso to Pop: The Richard Weisman Collection. Annual Director’s Circle Dinner
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 6 PM
Run away to a Spanish villa—without leaving Sacramento! Laurie Wood- Gundlach and Raymond Gundlach will host this year’s Director’s Circle Dinner at their 1920s Spanish-style home. The reception will begin at 6 PM with dinner to follow. Watch for your invitation in the mail.
