Teacher Workshop: The Language of the Nude
SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 10-NOON

Join Curator William Breazeale as he presents the special exhibition The Language of the Nude: Four Centuries of Drawing the Human Body. Following the tour, discuss standards-based curriculum connections and participate in a facilitated life drawing exercise. Reservations required. Family Day for Teachers
SATURDAY, JUNE 28, NOON-3 PM FREE
Spend some quality time together with your loved ones at the Crocker’s Family Day for Teachers. You and your family can tour the collection, create your own artwork and share ideas with other educators. We’re also asking teachers to take a moment during the event to provide feedback on the Crocker’s education programs. Participating teachers will receive a Family Pass to visit the Museum again at a later date. Please RSVP to Caren Gutierrez at 916.808.1987 by June 21.
Onsite Teacher Training

$250 FOR A TWO HOUR SESSION
This workshop brings a Crocker Art Museum Educator to your school to lead a workshop for up to 24 participants on how to integrate art into the school’s core curriculum. Learn about visual thinking strategies to improve visual literacy and discover how to use Striking Gold, the Crocker Art Museum’s dynamic online educator resource, in the classroom. Each participant receives a CD-ROM containing a curriculum guide and lesson plans and a family pass to visit the Museum at a later date. To register, contact Caren Gutierrez at 916.808.1987.
Looking At Art*

$150 for 30-40 participants
Created for groups of parents and caregivers, this workshop teaches how to foster art appreciation in children under age 5. The project culminates in a Museum field trip for parent and child. Contact Emma Moore at 916.808.1961 to request a date for your group.
