April 1, 2009 – Sacramento, Calif. – Due to popular demand, the Crocker Art Museum will host a second session of "Financial and Legal Planning for Same-Sex Couples," an informative and interactive seminar specifically addressing complicated estate and financial planning issues for same-sex couples. Attorney Penny R. Brown and financial planner Rebecca E. Harper will lead the presentation at the Museum on Wednesday, May 6, 4-5:30 p.m.

As a partner in a same-sex relationship what will happen to your assets, your partner and your personal wishes if something happens to you?

Learn effective estate planning and financial strategies, including, how to hold title to assets, provide for loved ones and utilize charitable giving as a tool to avoid estate tax, capital gains tax and income taxes.

Brown is a member of the Estate Planning and Probate legal team at the Sacramento office of McDonough Holland & Allen PC. Brown's practice focuses on revocable and irrevocable trust planning for married, single and same-sex couples and post-death administration for estates and trusts.
