Crocker Art Museum Hosts Annual Art Auction
on Saturday, June 4
An elegant evening highlighting California's talented artists
April 8, 2011 – Sacramento, Calif. – The Crocker Art Museum will host its annual Art Auction on Saturday, June 4, at 5 p.m. This year's Art Auction will feature an impressive selection of works by well-known and highly collected artists.
The event will kick off with a series of silent auctions followed by an alfresco dinner and live auction in the courtyard. The auctions, featuring works by more than 120 California artists, will be selected by Alissa Ford, professional auctioneer and director of Josh Hardy Galleries, San Francisco. Ford will also serve as auctioneer the evening of the Art Auction.
"Beginning collectors and seasoned connoisseurs will enjoy adding to their art collections at this year's Art Auction," said Regan Durst, chair of the Art Auction committee. "Where else can you enjoy a festive evening, support a great organization, and leave with something that you can enjoy for a lifetime?"
Works of art from the live auction art will be on display in the Museum beginning May 21; works in the silent auction will be exhibited starting May 26.
General tickets are $125 per person. To purchase tickets for the Art Auction, please call (916) 808-7843. For more information, visit crockerartmuseum.org.
